Why Are There No Good Bass Vst Plugins

I good portion of Roland Cloud's new plugins are only available in VST3 format, but most plugins are also available in VST 2 thankfully. I can imagine that this is one reason why Propellerhead chose to just support VST 2.x currently. TAL-BassLine is a virtual analog bass vst synthesizer especially made for bass, acid sounds and effects. It’s based on a robust core and has the usual controls of analogue hardware synthesizers. I did a clean reinstall of Reaper. The amplitube stuff works fine in standalone so I am thinking culprit is Reaper for sure.
