I have tried loading them in LMMS 1.1.3 and in a build that I made from master a few weeks ago (1.2.0 rc2). If I am in 1.1.3, a message pops up that says 'The VST plugin effect name.dll could not be loaded for some reason.' The effect appears in the chain in both versions. Here is a list of the plugins I have tried that have this issue. What are your computer spec? As per GUI problems I am aware now just that if you re-size lmms workspace to something small, than if you load new plugin it will affect resulting window size, but will look on this too. As per VST sync. Patch, (please assure at first you have latest patch from link below) I. Successfully reproduced. I've found one other host where this problem occurs: Hermann Seib's VSTHost when the plugin is running with a different number of bits to that of the host, in which case it is loaded in a separate bridge process, like LMMS does. Presumably having the parent window in a different process messes something up somewhere.

If that does not mean anything to you guys, its a program to make music.
With this program you can load vst plugins. ( sofware synthesizers)
This is done by loading .dll files.
Allot of these work, but some don't.
LMMS uses wine to load these .dll files.
There is one vst, I really would like to use. ( vintage sounds, Jean Mcichel Jarre used as rhythm )
But when I load it, it freezes lmms and prob wine too.
On Linux when I encounter problems, I can start programs from the command line.
And see the output, of the programs and possible errors.
Is this possible for loading .dll files in LMMS too?
( LMMS runs native on LInux, not through wine )
I already tried starting wine from the command line, but that did not work.
Wine told me I need to add the program I want to start.
But an .dll file is not a program.
I would like to see what goes wrong when loading this .dll file. Because maybe then it can be fixed.
I also know there are programs with which you can edit .dll files, and although I fear this is way to complicated for me, I can always try.
But then I need at least a basic idea, on what goes wrong.

I have already been searching for hours, if there was not another vst to use, but I could not find one.Hi all.

Lmms Plugins

I am using Kubuntu 16.04.1, 64bit version where I added your repo.
Then i installed lmms-vst-full which also pulled the wine packages.
None of my previous VST plugins works any more.
From lmms I get this useless dialog:
